June Progress Report

June 23, 2008

The first and second quarters of 2008 have been a blessing.  Because of my wrist injury the first of February, and subsequent surgeries, I was confined to the house for about two months.  As a result, we made some real progress on many of our projects and were able to finish raising funds for two of them.

Below you will find our report.  We look forward to increased work for our missionaries, especially as the funding needs for many are becoming critical.  Please keep iMap and the missionaries we are partnered with in your prayers.

Here are some projects we are currently working on:

  • Pakistan – Greg Lyons has asked us to help get some funding for a new ministry he has been asked to work with in Pakistan.
  • Germany – Revofest in Aschaffenburg.  Keith Gandy, missionary, is hosting this music festival to help access 2,500 – 5,000 Youth to help start home studies and churches in the area.
  • Cambodia – Youth camp – Goal of 5,000 kids in camp this year, 1,000 saved
  • Philippines – Teachers camp – Mega City Ministries – Goal 10,000 teachers this year.  Goal 3,000 saved
  • Ukraine – Manna partnership for shelter homes for girls and boys coming out of orphanages
  • Mexico – Funding for new orphanage building, Medical team ministry, and new church plant
  • Africa – Medical trip and beginning of Regional Ministry Center in Malawi with Missionary Tom Gentry
  • Kenya – Shipment of Medical equipment to Nanyuki, in conjunction with the Mt. Kenya Baptist church and the Nanyuki regional hospital
  • Russia, Poland, Slovakia – Translation projects for two books
We have seen over $50,000.00 committed and raised this firs two quarters for transportation needs, the German festival, and the Cambodian camp.

One of our pastors took a team of Doctors and Dentists to our partner missionary in Mexico, Nelson Door, and saw many saved.  This is becoming a very fruitful approach to evangelism.

We rejoice in the opportunity to work with our missionaries and our pastors and supporting churches in fulfilling God’s call for our lives.  Please pray that we will be able to continue to walk wisely and make the most productive use of the time that God has given us.

It is impossible for me to communicate how much we depend on your prayers and encouragement.  Without you, this ministry would not be possible.  Thank you for your faithfulness.

God Bless You,

Bob Hines
